Forever21 Grand Opening ❥ Waited in line for an hour to be one of the first 200 in line (the first 200 got a gift card), spent 45 minutes in the dressing room line, and an hour in the checkout line ….. for the love of clothes ha ha

Dinner & a Movie ❥ I went to dinner and a movie with my sorority sisters and had way too much fun. I decided to go chic. Who says you have to go to the movies dressed down? I also have on heels in these pics, but my shoes definitely look like flats since I am standing on a hill :/

The Peanut Man ❥ While we were killing time before the movie, we went to The Peanut Man. This store has every candy, dessert, or yummy goodness you can think of. The store smells delicious !!!!

An outfit to fit the weather …

Hi Vivas. I am soooo sorry that I have been M.I.A. lately. I have been preparing for the Sister Girl and the Soldier: The Urban Nutcracker. The dance company that I am in, Vibrations Dance Company, puts this show on during the holidays. I have been in rehearsals like crazy and on top of that I have been sick. I am not even at work today because I still feel a little crappy. However, my bestie is graduating from grad school today so I must go. Here is the outfit that I am wearing to her graduation. If you have a graduation to go to this time of year, I hope that this outfit inspires you.

You could also wear flat boots for a more comfortable and casual look.

Earlier I mentioned that I got my accessories form World Market. I know you are thinking why in the world would anybody go there for accessories. I was looking for cute pillows for my room and I just happen to find these cute accessories. When I saw this pic I feel in love with these jeans. I am loving the new Gap Premium 1969 jean looks. The bird detailing on the cuff is really cute. Since I am so petite, I am pretty sure I could wear them like regular jeans with a cuff at the bottom. I am definitely going to purchase these. This fall birds are going to be everywhere. Shontelle is a native of  Barbados. She has known Rihanna, also a Barbados native, since childhood. You might remember her from her first cross-over hit “T-Shirt”. I must admit I was not a fan of “T-Shirt”, but Shontelle has won me over with “Impossible”. It is very catchy. I catch myself singing it all the time. Her video for “Impossible” features Stephen Jones.  If you have not heard of her at all, I urge you to check her out. Let me know what you think about her single “Impossible” and her voice. Some of her favorite fashion designers areouis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, D Squared, Christian Siriano, Alexander Berardi, Alexander McQueen, and Carolina Herrera. Her style icons spread across a wide range of personalities, genres, and eras. She mentions Fred Astaire, Audrey Hepburn, Prince Charles of Wales, David Bowie, Jackie O, Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, and Halle Berry as just a few of the style icons she looks up to. Interesting huh? Her tips for girls who can’t afford the big name clothing designers is to shop at retail stores, such as Forver21, TJ Maxx, and H&M and mix and match. Pregnancy Scare: Forever 21

Controversy is spreading about the Forever21 Maternity line. People are saying that it is geared towards pregnant teens and even encouraging teen pregnancy. NOT the case. I love Forever21, but so does every other women/teen that knows about it. It is not just a teen store. Women want to look good while they are pregnant and I don’t blame them. Teens have been getting pregnant before this maternity line and they will be getting pregnant way after this line. It’s ok Forever21, they have to blame the teen pregnancy issue on someone and this week it’s you. I think it is a smart move on Forever21’s part. They are trying to expand the merchandise. Hello. The media can be sooooo twisted sometimes. On the brighter side, if you are expecting at this point and time, don’t forget to check Forever21’s maternity line out 🙂
